High Frequency Generates Resilience

I was reading a comment about health the other day and it inspired a month long reflection about adaptability and resilience. The commentator mostly focused on metabolic health — the physical layer of our human expression self-structure. He wrote:

“I think robust health that maintains itself despite environmental or nutritional change, metabolic inertia, is probably quite healthy.”

I would expand this to include vital, emotional, and mental layer adjustments and transitions. When our self system maintains itself steady despite disturbances, we have exhibited resilience and adaptability.

Frequency and Resilience

The curious part of resilience? Adapting and adjusting are fundamental parts of our very nature. We are dynamic, open, symbiotic systems adapting and adjusting to our environment at all times. Why then do we fall ill? What breaks this resilience; this chain of adaptability? To me, the “Question of the Century”. The answer? Mostly stress; stress of ANY sort: physical, vital, emotional, mental, or “spiritual”.

The secret to managing stress? Maintaining High Frequency, vital energy, generative self-structure systems. We need a certain amount of energy, of high frequency to abate and abort stress. Illness of any sort: physical, vital, emotional, mental, or “spiritual” occurs because we lack the metabolic strength, energy, the high frequency to adapt and adjust to the endogenous or exogenous stress.

In other words, we do not have the energy to stop the stress and it runs wild gathering speed as it takes over our self-structure systems whether physically, vitally, emotionally, mentally, or “spiritually”.

As if written just for me to include in this post, a research came out the other day about the power of the placebo effect to overcome relationship breakups. From the description of the research study:

“Feeling heartbroken from a recent breakup? Just believing you’re doing something to help yourself get over your ex can influence brain regions associated with emotional regulation and lessen the perception of pain. That’s the takeaway from a new study that measured the neurological and behavioral impacts the placebo effect had on a group of recently brokenhearted volunteers”

Their findings highlighted a few significant points:

While not identical, the regions that lit up during physical and emotional pain were similar. This finding alone proves that emotional pain is real: “Know that your pain is real — neuro-chemically real.”

“The current view is that you have positive expectations and they influence activity in your prefrontal cortex, which in turn influences systems in your midbrain to generate neurochemical opioid or dopamine responses,” BUT “Just the fact that you are doing something for yourself and engaging in something that gives you hope may have an impact. In some cases, the actual chemical in the drug may matter less than we once thought.”

“What is becoming more and more clear is that expectations and predictions have a very strong influence on basic experiences, on how we feel and what we perceive.” ¹

Thus taking action or even the perception of taking action stimulated resilience and the necessary energy to overcome grief and emotional pain! How exciting! The implication in our own well being is HUGE.

Even if we lack the necessary vital energy to initiate all of the actions and behaviors we want in any given moment of stress, we can use our perception and intent to begin that process of adapting and adjusting, which in turn further energizes our systems, which in turn shifts into high frequency thoughts and behaviors, which in turn generate more energy, and on and on we circle and spiral upwards to health and wellness.

Once again notice that we are NOT victims in life where “life happens to us” and we must simply accept our fate as the majority of people on the planet today believe. Rather, we are CREATORS, that live in choice. “We happen to life!” We make choices in each moment. Isn’t that profoundly empowering?

Finally, I leave you with an inspiring TEDx talk by Carolyn Myss — a modern day mystic/angel that describes this empowerment of choices that change our very being. Worth a listen. See the notes below for the link. ²

My LOVE to you all! Wishing you a month filled with High Frequency and Resilience!!
